Foodvisor is a French calorie counter known for logging meals from a photo. Pricing it is unusually hard, because Foodvisor itself says there is no single price. We make Calorix, a competing app, so every fact here comes from Foodvisor’s help centre or its App Store listings, checked on October 23, 2026.
What’s free in Foodvisor
“Foodvisor is a free application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store”, and during sign-up you choose between the free version and a paid subscription. “The free version of Foodvisor allows you to track your food intake by manually logging meals into the food diary” (Foodvisor help).
Premium adds “Meal analysis with photos”, daily courses on nutrition, psychology and motivation, expert articles with meal plans, hundreds of recipes, custom macronutrient goals and daily summaries with food recommendations. A separate “Sport & Meal Plan Bundle” is a one-time purchase with workout programmes and 28 days of menus.
Note that Foodvisor’s App Store description presents photo, voice and barcode logging without saying which need Premium; the help centre is clearer that photo analysis is Premium.
Why Foodvisor has no fixed price
Foodvisor’s answer to “What is the price of the Foodvisor subscription?” is that “prices are always displayed directly in the app or on our website”, and that the price depends on “Your country or region”, “The platform used (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Foodvisor website)” and “Ongoing promotions”: “This is why we cannot provide a fixed universal price” (Foodvisor help).
The prices its App Store pages show
The App Store is the one place where Foodvisor’s prices are public. On October 23, 2026, its US listing showed:
- “1 month of Foodvisor”: $14.99, $29.99 and $39.99
- “3 months of Foodvisor”: $59.99 and $89.99
- “Foodvisor Premium trial”: $59.99 and $71.99
- “Foodvisor Premium” (length not shown): $23.99 and $83.99
- “Premium Bundle”: $29.99
In the UK, the list included a “12 month subscription Gold” at £35.99, 1 month at £14.99 and 3 months at £24.00 or £49.99. In France, 1 month was €39.99 and 3 months between €20.99 and €59.99; the Dutch store listed a 1-month plan at €9.99, a “light” month at €6.99, 3 months at €20.99 and 12 months at €59.99. Same app, very different numbers: what you pay depends on the offer the app shows you. The App Store shows the price and period before you confirm.
The trial: “you pick” the price
Foodvisor’s refund policy describes its trial this way: “we’re offering the fairest way of setting the trial price; you pick one that you’re comfortable with” (Foodvisor help). That’s why paid “Premium trial” rows appear on the App Store. Through Foodvisor’s referral programme, an invited friend gets “a 14-day free trial, followed by a 3-month subscription”.
How to cancel Foodvisor
Foodvisor sells through Apple, Google Play and its own website (Stripe). If you can’t find the subscription in your Apple or Google settings, it’s probably a website subscription (Foodvisor help).
- iPhone or iPad: Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions → Foodvisor → Cancel.
- Google Play: Payments and Subscriptions → Subscriptions → Foodvisor → Cancel Subscription.
- Website: sign in at foodvisor.io, click your email (top right) → Manage my account → Manage next to Subscription Status → Disable Auto Renew.
“Deleting your account in Foodvisor settings does not automatically cancel your trial or Premium subscription.”
Refunds: the 14-day rule
“You need to request a refund within 14 days - no refund will be granted after that time period.” Cancelling alone doesn’t refund you; it only stops the renewal. App Store purchases “can be refunded and approved only by Apple” (reportaproblem.apple.com, Apple Support); for website purchases, EU residents get a refund of the first charge if they contact support within 14 days, and other countries can ask within the same window. “Renewal charges aren’t eligible for a refund” (Foodvisor help).
Is Foodvisor Premium worth it?
Foodvisor is the better choice if you want photo-based logging with coaching content (courses, articles, recipes) in a French-made app, and you’re happy to pick an offer in the app. It’s available in 20 languages on the App Store and runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android.
It’s less of a fit if you want to know the price before you download, or you want photo logging on a free plan.
