What’s free and what Pro adds
Calorix has a free version and a Pro subscription, compared in the table above. The free version is a complete calorie tracker: you can log every meal with a barcode, a food search or by hand, track water, weight and every fasting schedule (12:12 to 20:4, one meal a day or your own), and use 3 AI scans each day. Pro is for people who log mostly with the camera, their voice or a quick description, because it removes the daily limit on AI scans.
An AI scan is one request to the AI: analyzing a photo, a typed or spoken description, or a nutrition label, a Fix with AI correction, or a set of meal ideas. Barcode scans don’t count, because they look the product up in a food database instead (more on the barcode and label scanner page).
How the free trial works
When you start Pro from the app, the App Store shows the plan, the price in your currency and the length of the free trial before you confirm. The trial gives you every Pro feature for 3 days. Trials are for new subscribers, and the App Store only offers one when your Apple Account is eligible.
At the end of the trial, the plan you chose starts and renews automatically. If you don’t want to continue, Apple advises canceling at least 24 hours before the trial ends (Apple Support). If you cancel, Calorix keeps working with the free version, and your log stays.
What Calorix costs per week, month and year
These are the US App Store prices on October 9, 2026. The App Store shows the price for your country, including any tax, before you subscribe.
| Plan | Price | Works out to |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | $3.99 a week | about $17.29 a month |
| Monthly | $9.99 a month | $9.99 a month |
| Yearly | $39.99 a year | about $3.33 a month, or $0.77 a week |
The weekly plan suits a short trial run of Pro beyond the free days; the yearly plan costs the least over time. Every plan includes the same features.
How to cancel Calorix
Calorix subscriptions are billed by Apple, so you manage them in your iPhone’s settings, not in the app:
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Calorix, then Cancel Subscription.
If there is no Cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled (Apple Support). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. After you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then Calorix continues with the free version.
Refunds
Because Apple bills the subscription, refunds go through Apple, and we can’t issue them ourselves. Sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com, choose “I’d like to”, then “Request a refund”, pick the reason and the Calorix subscription, and submit. Apple says to wait 24 to 48 hours for an update on the request (Apple Support).
How Calorix’s price compares
On October 11, 2026, the yearly plans we could confirm for 15 popular calorie apps cost between about $20 and $149 in the US, most of them between $40 and $90, and 12 of the 15 had a free version with fewer features. We keep that dated, sourced table, with each app’s free version, trial and how to cancel, in calorie app prices in 2026.
